Map of Knowledge was born in 2021 from an initiative by Oliwia and Michał. As students, we noticed a problem our peers across Poland were struggling with — information chaos and the lack of a single, reliable source about free courses, workshops, and educational webinars. Through countless conversations with high school classmates, we saw how many valuable opportunities slipped through the cracks simply because the information was scattered and hard to find.
Together with our high school friends, we built a solution that genuinely addressed students' needs — an online platform gathering all educational events in one place. Our first version focused on aggregating information about free courses and webinars, as well as promoting effective learning methods. The idea quickly gained recognition — the first edition of Map of Knowledge was awarded the prestigious Bronze Wolf in the Zwolnieni z Teorii olympiad.
Encouraged by our first success, we expanded the project with new features. In the second edition we broadened the scope of our educational social media campaign, focused on effective learning methods. We also created Facebook groups that quickly gathered nearly 1,000 students seeking valuable educational resources.
Our commitment and innovative approach led to spectacular results — the second edition of Map of Knowledge won a triple distinction in the Zwolnieni z Teorii olympiad: the Bronze, Silver, and prestigious Golden Wolf, making us the best educational project in Poland.
Over the course of our work, Map of Knowledge became an indispensable tool for thousands of students — a platform that helped over 6,500 high schoolers prepare for their final exams, while our educational campaign reached over 100,000 people. We collaborated with leading companies in the education sector and universities across Poland to ensure students had access to the best development opportunities.
Map of Knowledge was more than just a platform — it became a community of young people who believed that access to knowledge should be easy and equal for everyone. Throughout our time, we consistently fulfilled our mission: to help, connect, and empower students on their journey through the Polish education system.
Thank you to everyone who was part of this inspiring journey — our users, partners, and supporting institutions. Although the Map of Knowledge project has come to an end, we believe its legacy and impact on the educational awareness of young people will last for a long time to come.
Map of Knowledge started with a simple question and ended up as the best educational project in Poland — with a real team, thousands of users, and awards we never dared to dream of at the start.
This journey taught me one thing: I see a problem, bring together people and technology, and build something that people actually use. Today I do exactly that — I design and build web applications as a full-stack developer. If you're looking for someone who doesn't just write code but takes ownership of the entire product — let's talk.
